Sometimes a noun just doesn’t cut it.

A physical product is always a product. A physical product never needs to be productized.

Tent. Underwear. Glockenspiel.

It’s “product-ness” isn’t what sells it. Add “uniqueness”, and you are getting somewhere!

The lightest tent in the world. Period underwear. Customized artisanal glockenspiel.

When you productize a service, it becomes easier to name. To describe. That’s one piece.

Add “uniqueness” to that, and you are getting somewhere!

Question for another day: can a physical product be serviceized?
